Costa Rica team update (4)

Hello everyone!!!!

Pura vida (pure life) the most famous phrase here in Costa Rica. Again I would like to thank everyone for your prayers. It is so evident that people back home are praying because the Lord is moving and it is awesome to be apart of.

Yesterday afternoon's door to door evangelism and VBS in Biajgua went really well. I can't wait for all of you to hear the stories when we come home. during the evangelism time Jim Raymond's group entered a house where a girl had been hoping that someone would come talk to her because of the pain she was going through and Jim's group was able to lead her to the Lord. Praise God!! The team has been learning that God in His supernatural way creates Divine appointments to draw people to himself. Ashley Pengelly did a wonderful job sharing the gospel at the VBS in Biajgua and she was able to do most if it in Spanish!!! We have all continued to be stretched and challenged.

Last night, we were able to have a powerful time of prayer and encouragment over our translators. They all love the Lord very much and are being used by Him in a mighty way. They have become apart of our family.

This morning we did a VBS in the local church in Rio Naranjo and it went really well!!! The team has been working so hard and we have started to drag a little bit, so please pray that the Lord cotinues to strengthen us with His strength. Because of that this afteroon we gave the team time to rest and spend time listening to the Lord.

although the team has been tired their spirits have been extremely high. On Sunday it was Brian Baker's Birthday and today it is Lindsey Keith's so tonight we are going to have a birthday cake for them and celebrate.

We love you all!!! and hope that you enjoy the pictures

Costa Rica team update(3) !!!!

Hello everyone,

The Lord is so faithful to provide us with exactly what we need. Everyone on the team is continuing to be stretched and challenged in the Lord. It has been incredible to watch the Lord redirect our schedule to set up divine appointments for the sake of His Kingdom rather then our own agenda.

Tuesday night, we had a time of sharing about what the Lord has been speaking into our lives, and the testimonies from our team were powerful! One comment that was made last night was how important it is for our lives to slow down when we get home and make sure our focus is where it needs to be, and that is a focus that is fixed on Jesus the author and perfecter of our faith. Another comment that was made was, how we are so passionate about sharing the gospel with people in Costa Rica but we struggle to have a burden for the lost in the states. We were challenged last night and all agreed that the Lord is calling us to be a witness for His gospel at all times. One last comment is how important it is for us to be able to come before the Lord completely exposed. Not putting up any walls or barriers, because in that place we are able to receive the love and grace that only comes through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Wednesday, This morning we are in the town of Biajgua sharing the gospel from house to house and this afternoon we will be doing a VBS with the Local church in Biajgua.

Tomorrow, We will be doing a VBS at the church in Rio Naranjo which is in the town that we are staying at and in the afternoon we will be back in Biajgua for more door to door evangelism.

Please continue to pray for open doors for the gospel to go out in power. Pray that the Lord will give us a sensitivity to His Spirit so that we know what to say or not to say to people when the opportunity presents itself.

We are so thankful for all of you and Praise God for all that He is doing. For those of you who are holding the rope for us, it is evident that the Lord is answering your prayers and His name and His glory is being lifted up!!!

Go to this site to see some sweet pics from our trip!! hope you enjoy!!!

hello family and friends,

thank you so much for your prayers. the last couple of days have been exciting to say the least. Sunday was an amazing experience for everyone. We visited 3 different Costa Rican churches and were able to particpate in their worship services. It was an experience that we will all remember forever. We were able to get a small taste of heaven as we worshiped with people from another nation and tounge. Just like it will be one day in heaven with every Tounge, Tribe, and Nation. Sunday afternoon we were able to move from the church into the camp that we are now staying at.

People from the team are constantly mentioning how God truly reveals Himself through His creation. In the mornings and the evenings the students have been leading bible studies from Psalms. We have also been seeing that God not only reveals Himself in His creation but also powerfully through His word.

Monday was a full day of painting. One of the churches that we have partnered with has been developing a relationship with the school right across the street, and we were able to paint the outside walls and the courtyard benches. Later in the day we were able to play sports and games with the local children.

Tuesday (today)
was supposed to be another day of painting but because of the rain it has turned into a day of door to door evangelism. The group has been doing a wonderful job being stretched and challenged to share their faith.

Please continue to pray for
1. Unity among the team
2. Encouragment as plans have changed a couple of times, and we are all learning how to be flexible
3. Power from the Holy Spirit to share the gospel.
4. Continued health and safety.
5. That the Lord would continue to put us in place where we need Him to come through.

Thank you so much for all of your support and we love you all!!!!!!

The eagle has landed

Hello everybody!!! We have landed in Costa Rica. We are currently stuffing our faces with the last little bit of american food for the week. A mixture of Burger King and Papa Johns Pizza. From here we will be headed to the church in Rio Naranjo that we will be staying at for the night and then attending there morning worship services. We are so thankful for all of your prayers and hard work to get us all sent off this morning. Please continue to pray that we will be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and that we will follow His lead. We love you all, and will update again as soon as we can!!!
